Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 21, 2026

We want everyone to be able to use WPDeveloper.ca, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We design and build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That standard covers the requirements of Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), which references WCAG 2.0 AA, and the WCAG 2.1 AA standard referenced in the United States under the Americans with Disabilities Act rules for public entities.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content may not fully meet the standard. We test every page template with automated tools (axe-core and Lighthouse) and by keyboard, and we fix what we find, but we have not yet completed a full manual audit with screen-reader users, so we do not claim full conformance.

What we have done

• A "skip to main content" link, clear landmarks and one main heading per page with a logical heading order.
• Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface elements, and visible focus outlines on every control.
• Menus, accordions and forms that work by keyboard, with the Escape key closing open menus.
• Form fields with visible labels, required fields marked in text, and error messages that are announced to screen readers.
• Text that can be resized to 200 percent and pages that reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
• Animation that is turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels, and most at 44 pixels or more.

Known limitations

• Charts in some articles have a short text description, but their full data is not always repeated as a table. Ask us and we will send the underlying figures.
• Links to third-party websites and documents may not meet the same standard.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us: email info@fourcents.ca with the subject "Accessibility", or call +1 (365) 440-1786. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within 2 business days and to fix or provide the information in another format as quickly as we can. You can also ask for any content in an alternative format.

Review

This statement was last reviewed on October 21, 2026, after automated testing of every page template on desktop and mobile.
